This images shows Supernova SN2009dd at the centre of the galaxy. The supernova was discovered on 2009 April 13th and was very close to galaxy core. My image cannot distinguish the galaxy core from the supernova. The exposures were taken at the spring Kelling star party under the dark Norfolk skies. The spring star party was moved from March to April making the nights surprisingly short.
