Moon 
Imaged at the 540mm prime focus of my 100mm refractor through an Ha filter. Taken on 2005 Jan 01 with a Starlight HX 916.

 

2006 March 30th  Solar Eclipse. The Sun during totality from Side on the southern coast of Turkey. The photo left was taken by Colin Melrose through a Meade ETX. The photo's centre and right were taken by me with a simple handheld snapshot digital camera.

Pluto
Movie showing the planet's position on the 2005 May 21st and 22nd. The movement is over a 22hour period. The image is approx 0.5 deg wide and is taken with a 100mm refractor and an HX 916 CCD camera.

 

 


Partial eclipse of the Sun

2003May 31st at 04.10UT taken using Kodak 100EC slide film at 125th sec exp (approx) through a fog bank with a 200mm telephoto lens and no filter. Location - Dengie marshes Essex, taken towards the sea, hence the reflection.

Of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and a 3day old Moon 2004 March 23rd 


Asteroid 2004 XP 14
This was a close very close approach of a potentially hazardous asteroid 2006 July 3rd.
A stack of 70 x 20 sec exposures taken over 37 mins. The other streaks are the effect of hot pixels stacked on a drifting field of view.
